Preparing new mothers for the work of a lifetime.
Every Child Succeeds is making a difference for families in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky through home visits that help first-time parents create a nurturing, healthy environment for their children. Home visits, which take place from the time of pregnancy through the child's third birthday, are designed to ensure an optimal start for children both physically and emotionally.
The program, made possible by the generous support of private donors and public funds, was founded in 1999 by three organizations — Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency and United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Since then, ECS has provided over 425,000 home visits, serving more than 19,000 children.
ECS is significantly changing the life trajectory for at-risk children and their parents, validating our community's significant investment in the program. Fourteen local agencies provide the home visits, adhering to program, training and evaluation standards established by Cincinnati Children's, where our offices are located.
Accredited by Better Business Bureau (BBB) and approved by the Cincinnati BBB Board of Directors, ECS meets the rigorous Standards for Charity Accountability. Every Child Succeeds was also the 2009 Better Business Bureau Torch Award winner in the large non-profit category. See the full BBB Wise Giving Report for Every Child Succeeds.
