We are pleased to introduce our region’s MBD therapists!

From Aimee Yeager, LPC:

In what ways has the pandemic affected your clients and how are you helping them cope? The pandemic has affected our clients and their families in many ways, including financial hardship, housing concerns, social isolation, and increased anxiety and stress. MBD has adapted to these challenges by providing telehealth services and remaining as flexible as possible in our service delivery. Therapy provides a deep human connection and a safe space to process feelings during these uncertain times. MBD therapists regularly collaborate with our referral sources to ensure good quality of care and connect clients with needed resources.

From Kristie Blanchet, MSW, CSW:

What are some practical ways that the program helps families? My clients are struggling a great deal of depression and often find it difficult to get up and get going in the morning just to complete daily chores and personal hygiene. Through the MBD program, I am seeing these mothers use coping skills and manage to work through their symptoms of depression to care for themselves and their children. They are using the Activity Schedule and report, which helps them keep focused. They know that if they complete at least one activity in each part of the day they will feel motivated and accomplished.
